1 Day Course
"Tom had never been off a mountain path before. This was proper mountaineering"
Scrambling is a step up from mountain walking and involves climbing steep off trail mountain routes with your hands and feet. It can be incredibly rewarding knowing you've taken the 'hard' way to a summit and experience a more physical way of exploring the hills. On this course we will teach you all the skills needed to look after yourself safely.
What you'll learn...
- Belay managment
- Scrambling grading systems
- Mountaineering rope skills
- Equipment uses
- and more...
Who's it for?
Our scrambling course is for physically fit hikers looking to challenge themselves further in the hill. No prior experience necessary!
All climbing kit is provided, a full kit list will be sent prior to starting the course.
Our normal start time and meeting point is 9:00am at Ogwen Cottage in the Owgen Valley.
