This course is the progression course from the beginner climbing course. We will teach you skills such as rigging, advanced belaying techniques and rescues, as well as more advanced movement techniques to help your climbing progress. If you already know how to climb safely inside and know the basics, jumping straight onto this course to advance your knowledge is recommended.


Who's it for?

Anyone with indoor climbing experience looking to further their skills and knowledge. 

Minimum age 18+

What you will learn:

  • Rigging top ropes outside

  • Gear placements

  • Knot tying

  • Equipment uses

  • Top rope rescues

  • Advanced movement techniques

Kit needed:

All climbing kit is provided, including shoes and chalk. If you wish to bring your own gear thats no problem.

    Our start time and meeting point is normally 9:30am at The Roaches Tea Rooms.


    Most of the climbing is within 5mins walking distance, however occasionally we use some crags slightly further away which are best suited for the course. Your own transport is advantageous however sharing lifts and car pooling can be arrange if we visit a slightly further away location. We will advise you if your instructor is planning on using a location further away before starting the course.
