The Old Man Of Hoy is a must for every adventure climber. It is the largest sea stack in the UK and remotest. 5 pitch's will get you to the top, each pitch comes with its own challenge and the view from the summit is breath taking.
Our guided trip will see us stay on Hoy Island for 3 nights to optimise the weather window to climb this impressive stack. The route we will take is the 'Original Route' HVS 5b.
Who's this for?
Some outdoor climbing experience will be necessary for this ascent, ideally you should be at least seconding around S - HS routes.
3 nights stay on Hoy in the YHA (bunkhouse accommodation)

£945 - For 1:1 guiding and 3 nights stay on the Island
£565 - For 1:2 guiding and 3 night stay on the Island
Evening 1 - Arrive at your accommodation on Hoy, meet your guide and have a chat about the ascent.
Day 1 - Weather permitting we will attempt the stack, if not don't worry there is plenty of stuff to do on the island and we can use this day for prep for day 2's attempt.
Evening 2 - Chill and relax, discuss the next days climbing adventures
Day 2 - Stack climb, if we have done the route the day before we can can head off and do some of the other amazing sea cliff climbs in the area.
Evening 3 - Well deserved drink in the pub!
Day 3 - Depart Hoy with a smiles on our faces.
This is a private course and bespoke to you! Therefore all you have to do is contact us with a date in mind and we'll do the rest. we recommend booking between the months of May - September.

All our staff are qualified and assessed by the Mountain Training Association and have years of coaching and instructing experience and all participants are covered for all activities via our public liability insurance.
