Top roping outdoors is an amazing way to improve your own climbing and a great way to introduce new people to the sport. However accessing and building TR's safely outdoors is a skill within itself. This workshop is designed to develop your knowledge to keep yourself safe whilst building TR's and ensure those with you stay out of harms way. On this course we will teach you to rig up a climb using static ropes from the top so you can belay from the ground and climb with rope above the whole time. Outdoors we actually call this bottom roping, but thats a conversation for a later time haha.

What you'll learn...
  • Anchor placement

We understand this is a very tricky time for everyone! If for any reason you can't make a course with us because of COVID then don't panic. We will guarantee you space on any future course! We have said to everyone we will honour any bookings made, which have been affected by the pandemic into the foreseeable future with no expiry date.

We keep a very close eye on the weather at all times. If its just looking a little damp, overcast or showery the course will go ahead as normal and most of the time its never as bad as met office makes out! We are experts at finding dry and suitable areas to train you and our local knowledge is second to none. If however the weather is looking terrible for the duration of the course then you will be given the choice of re-booking onto another session later in the year and we will prioritise your booking over any new ones we receive.
